MANY PROJECTS DO NOT SUCCEED BECAUSE THE TARGETED POPULATION IS TREATED AS BY-STANDERS RATHER THAN ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS.
Involving our citizens directly in planning and implementing policies is important, since people specially the youth are among the most effective advocates for change. When youth are engaged in the planning and development of programs that are targeted at them they will have the sense of pride and empowerment.
We at LAFFCMH seek to engage the imagination of our youth, and draw from their energy and hope in order to productively and responsibly involve them as leaders of the organization.
We know that youth are not only the future of LAFFCMH -- they are also doing amazing things today! Would you like to be part of this great youth movement? Please contact us.

LAFFCMH IS TOTALLY INVOLVED
We are deeply committed to the provisions of the community based programs which are family focused and supports families in their role as primary caregivers to their child or children.
BECOME A MENTOR
Mentoring has been identified by Louisiana Families as an important support service necessary to continue successfully caring for their child at home.
Your donations will help Louisiana's children get the mental health services they need, one family at a time. LAFFCMH relies on monetary and in-kind donations from communities all over Louisiana. Our resources include private donations as well as federal and state grants.

We also ask that you think about LAFFCMH as you plan your estate. Your help is vital to these children and your choice to offer financial support is the essential foundation from which this organization can maintain its work. There are many tax saving opportunities that exist for people who wish to give to LAFFCMH through planned giving. If you need further information, we invite you to call our state office.
